Ministering: Father Abraham
Established by Grace

Key Scripture: 1 Peter 5:8–10
The enemy is constantly moving around, looking for opportunities and developing strategies to stop us. His desire is to hinder the fulfilment of God’s Word concerning our lives and prevent us from walking in what God has ordained for us.
But the Word of God gives us the assurance that our trials are not permanent.
1 Peter 5:10 says:
“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”
This means that after we have gone through a season of suffering, God Himself is able to establish, strengthen, and settle us.
However, our establishment requires faith in God.
2 Chronicles 20:20 says:
“Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established…”
Without believing in God and having faith in Him, we cannot walk in the establishment He desires for us.
HOW DO WE BECOME ESTABLISHED?
1. Believe in God
The foundation of our establishment is believing in God.
We must believe that God is who He says He is and that His Word concerning our lives is true, even when circumstances appear contrary to His promises.
Our faith cannot be based only on what we see. We must learn to trust God's Word above our circumstances.
2. Have Faith in God
Believing in God must produce faith and confidence in Him.
Faith enables us to continue trusting God even when the answer has not yet manifested. It gives us the strength to keep standing when the enemy tries to make us doubt God's promises.
If we want to be established, we must develop consistent faith in God.
3. Be Sober
The Bible instructs us to be sober. This means that we must remain spiritually alert and clear-minded.
We should not allow fear, distractions, emotions, or the pressures of life to cloud our understanding of God's Word.
A believer who wants to be established must remain spiritually conscious of what is happening around them.
4. Be Vigilant Against the Enemy
We must be vigilant because the enemy is constantly looking for opportunities to attack.
Being vigilant means recognizing the strategies of the enemy and refusing to become careless in our spiritual lives.
We must watch our faith, our thoughts, our words, and our actions.
We cannot afford to become spiritually asleep while the enemy is looking for an opportunity to weaken our faith.
5. Resist the Enemy Constantly in Faith
Finally, we must resist the enemy.
James 4:7 says:
“Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Resistance is not something we do once and then stop. We must continually stand in faith and refuse to surrender to the lies, fear, doubt, and intimidation of the enemy.
The enemy may come against us, but we must remain established in what God has said.
- Believe God.
- Have faith in Him.
- Remain sober.
- Stay vigilant.
- Resist the enemy in faith.
When we remain rooted in God and stand firmly on His Word, we position ourselves to be established, strengthened, and settled by God.
